Media storm over press release: Is Sarah Palin seducing America?

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

The press release further below “Is Sarah Palin seducing America?” created a storm. Some journalists and reporters found it to be insightful while others were offended:

“I find your description of Hillary Clinton offensive. Don’t send me this sort of biased material please. I agree with what you say about Palin but not Clinton.”  -Pati Gras Senior Producer and Host Houston PBS

“I find this extraordinarily offensive and insulting. This is not news. You are contributing to the dumbing-down of America.”  -Elaine Appleton Grant, Writer/Editor

Is Sarah Palin seducing America?

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

The media has made numerous requests and calls for me to offer my insights as a Human Behavior Expert and Celebrity Life Coach to explain Sarah Palin’s sudden and instant popularity.

Here are my responses summarized:

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin appears to have taken America by storm and is quickly becoming a celebrity.

Why is she so popular?

Patrick Wanis PhD, Celebrity Life Coach, Human Behavior Expert and Clinical Hypnotherapist says: “Sarah Palin represents what many women would aspire to be in the 21s century. Sarah Palin:

·         Is a former beauty queen

·         Still looks attractive and healthy; her face has a beautiful glow to it

·         Has a family

·         Is intelligent and successful in a man’s world – politics

·         Has more power than her husband

·         Is feminine

·         Is homey and appears sincere

·         Still maintains a down to earth organic image in spite of her success – she wears glasses, hair is carefully tied up in a bun to look cute, sweet, feminine and approachable

·         Is charismatic, articulate,  good speaker, and she exudes confidence and courage

Men like Sarah Palin even more than women do according to a recent poll:  (more…)

Naomi Campbell - angry woman - says she was arrested because she is black!

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Angry supermodel Naomi Campbell has claimed she was arrested at Heathrow, after spitting in the face of a police officer, because she was black. The Melbourne newspaper, The Herald Sun reports that Campbell, 37, showed no remorse only hours after she allegedly spat into a cops face and hurled abuse in a furious row over her luggage.

“It emerged that she had been told the case exceeded her weight allowance and would follow her to Los Angeles on a later jet.

After being released by police, the catwalk queen said to a pal: “It just goes to show I have to fight for who I am. It’s because I’m black,” reports The Sun.

Campbell had exploded with rage at Heathrow and was dragged, handcuffed, off a Los Angeles-bound jet. She was arrested and put in a cell before being allowed to phone a lawyer. Then she had a medical check. She later whinged to pals about her treatment.”

Assaulting a friend, assistant, policeman, security guard, and housekeeper…Naomi has a history or angry and abusive behavior.

Meanwhile, it is obvious that her anger management classes didn’t work – first because the court in 2007 ordered her to attend just two days of anger management and second because to be truly free of anger, she has to deal with the origins and motivations of her anger – not just try to manage her anger but get rid of it. In other words, why is Naomi really angry? It appears that she has the “celebrity entitlement syndrome whereby she feels she should be treated differently, better than everybody else and that she doesn’t have to answer to anybody – not even the police (think Keifer Sutherland or Jaguar’s footballer Brian Williams), and she also lashes out when she doesn’t get her way.

Soul mates, Past lives and Past Life Regression

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Recently, I received a question from a reader: “I heard that we can discover our soul mates by using Past Life Regression. What is Past Life Regression? Have we lived many past lives?”

“Regression” refers to going back in time. All real hypnotherapy involves some sort of regression. This is vastly different to “command hypnosis.” In the latter, the hypnotist simply hypnotizes the client and then commands him or her to do something (eat less, exercise more, stop smoking, etc.) This approach has limited benefits and usually only works for a short while because the client must have the same subconscious desire for the commands, and the commands must fit in with other subconscious beliefs. In other words, the dominant belief will always eventually win e.g. A person who says she wants to lose weight is hypnotized and told to do so, but, if her deeper dominant belief is “intimacy equals rejection” then she may soon put on the weight again if as a result of having lost the weight she now begins to experience intimacy.

On the other hand, Hypnotherapy (not command hypnosis) uncovers the reasons and motivations behind the behavior that the client wishes to change. So, in the above example, I would not command the person to lose weight but I would first uncover the reasons she is choosing to be overweight which, in this case, is because she fears intimacy and rejection. I then, would take her back in time (regress her) to when she first took on the belief that intimacy equals rejection and/or when she first experienced rejection and pain.

Jealousy, insecurity and ogling other beautiful people

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

A study released in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology reveals just how insecure both men and women are.

The Associated Press reported on the study:

While people of each gender tend to ogle beautiful people of the opposite sex, they also check out good-looking rivals who might show interest in their partner, a study shows.

The Florida State University researchers examined something that isn’t a surprise to anyone — people’s eyes are quickly drawn to someone attractive. But this being serious research, they gave it a serious name: “attentional adhesion.”

Jon Maner, an assistant professor of psychology, said human brains are designed to latch on to people’s attractive features in a quest to find the right mate, or to guard a sweetheart from rivals.

“I was also surprised that jealous men paid so much attention to attractive men,” Maner said.

Men who lie and cheat

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

Diana Falzone of Maxim Radio emailed me to bring to my attention her latest quest to support women. Her post and then my response are below:

Read this post it may help us girls out!  Send it to every girl who has been broken up with, cheated on, or lied to by a guy.

BAN DATING MEN FOR SATURDAY - March 15th

Enough is enough.  Last week I read on Gawker.com about the terrible Glamour blogger and his womanizing ways…today I read about Eliot Spitzer cheating on his wife of twenty years with a hooker.  What is wrong with men?  I think I’ve finally figured it out.  It’s women.  Women find excuses to stay with their men while men try to find excuses to leave their wives and girlfriends.

I live in New York City which I think has to be one of the most competitive dating scenes in the world.  Every weekend one of my beautiful, independent, successful girlfriends tells me about the guy who cheated on her.  We sit over brunch discussing every single detail of their relationship.  We try to figure out what happened in his childhood and past relationships that made him want to stray from what seemed a promising romance.  Then, we look at her behavior.  Did she cause him to be a cheating a-hole?  NO, NO, and NO.  Yet, my friend walks away heart broken and defeated.  No one is immune to being hurt but afer a while I worry about myself and my girlfriends.  When will we stop being able to heal our hearts and find love again.  There is only so much infidelity a person can handle before they stop believing in love.  In order to keep women of the world from becoming bitter, cynical spinsters I ask that we as a gender stick together and have a weekend without men!

Heath Ledger’s death: The real story?

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Famous radio personality, Danny Wright (Wright All Night syndicated radio show) interviews Patrick Wanis for his insights into Heath Ledger’s death. Recorded just a few days after Heath’s death, Patrick Wanis says that his experience, insight and expertise tell him that Heath was suffering from depression. Later, revelations about Heath prove Patrick to be accurate in his comments and summary of Heath.

But Patrick goes much further and much deeper into Heath’s psyche, chillingly predicting that much more will be revealed about Heath in the time to come and Patrick is proven correct yet again.

When the NYC medical examiner finished Heath Ledger’s toxicology report 15 days after he was found dead in his New York apartment, they ruled that Heath Ledger’s death was caused by “acute intoxication” and abuse of prescription medications.

Britney: the new Virgin Mary?

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

A French producer wants Britney Spears to play a teen woman who gives birth to Jesus, in a new satire called Sweet Baby Jesus. The producer says the film will start shooting in March and Britney is reviewing the script, according to the latest issue of Us Weekly:

“Spears, 26, would play a pregnant 19-year-old unsure of her baby’s paternity who goes into labor on Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, Maryland, as rumors swirl that the birth is Jesus Christ’s second coming….”I had to convince my partners, because they were like, ‘Oh, no. Britney?’ But I thought it was brilliant.”

The producer told the magazine that Spears was “reviewing the script.”

In terms of the producer’s goals, his strategic moves are brilliant because he will get so much controversial publicity and probably a lot of flack and attempts by the Catholic Church to boycott the film which, of course, will probably just make the film a big hit –the same way that The Catholic Church’s attack on the DaVinci Code made it an even greater success.

As far as Britney is concerned, her real life persona would definitely match perfectly the character the film’s producer has described that she would be playing – a suffering, lost soul…

Whether Britney would be dependable, reliable and even physically and mentally healthy enough to make the film is truly questionable. It seems that Britney is also trying to emulate and follow in the footsteps of her idol, Madonna, who also entered the acting world and tried to rock the Catholic Church with her controversial behavior and stage performances.

Final Word: Britney would be better to read the script of her own childhood, broken relationships, inability to mother her children and deep pain that she is so desperately trying to escape.

Life-changing experience

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

I would like to share with you an experience that has changed my life and the lives of one family. This past week I was brought in by the Montel Williams TV show to help heal a family and save their marriage and family. Of all the therapists and experts on the files of the Montel show, they chose me and then chose to air this show in November during the most important TV period –Sweeps –rating contest. The supervising producer told me what I was doing has never been done in his fifteen years in daytime television. And I can tell you that you have never seen anything like it before on TV. I know that it would probably be best if I were to relate to you all the details of my experience with this family but alas that would take a book. I will tell you that this family has been changed forever and they are so grateful.

I will share with you now the experience of just one of the girl’s lives who was changed by my work. You will see the rest on the show in November.

This is a blended family – the husband has two daughters, the wife one daughter and the husband and wife have a 2 yr old daughter together. The two daughters are violent towards the step mother and their step sister. One of them, Chelsea, tried to strangle her step sister three times and kicked her step mother in the stomach when she was pregnant. Chelsea is just 14! She has the appearance of a thirty year old woman who has been a junkie – almost no life in her tiny, skinny body which looks like the body of an eight year old girl. Her eyes sunken, wearing heavy black eyeliner and such a sadness that the TV crew and producers wanted to just cry and hold her.
